A 2007 movie of a 16 year old girl who gets pregnant. I loved the movie. Definitely worth a watch. An interesting and amusing soundtrack too.

Sorry Bhai : A refreshing movie

Sorry Bhai is one of those movies jo kab aayi aur chali gayi pata hi nahi chala. I did not watch it earlier because 'Bhai' reminded me of Salman Khan (no seriously, I thought it was some 'chal mere bhai' league)

But it is not definitely of that kind with its wonderful cast - Bomen Irani, Shabhana Azmi, Sanjay Suri, Shraman Joshi and lesser known Chitragandha. The movie has a simple story with a befitted humor.

Recommendation: I am not writing more about the the movie. Get hold of a DVD and WATCH it.

Delhi-6: Not too great

The movie is a great portrayal of life in Delhi-6. With AR Rehman's background score and Rakesh Mehra's attention to detail, movie is quite charming in the first half. Each character has been selected meticulously and very well depicted.

Seems like Rakesh Mehra was so busy in showing the life of Purani Dilli and its characters (which no doubt he did excellently), he forgot about building a story line. In the second half, the movie starts struggling for a plot, and Rakesh Mehra decides to make it a message movie. The message was very weak, and also not presented well.
Last 30 min was a disaster for the movie.

Billu Barber

Saw Billu Barber today. Good time paas. Short and sweet. Excellent work by Irfan Khan and Lara Dutta. Unnecessary use of Shahrukh and lots of unnecessary and interrupting songs. The film could have been much better if the Billu Barber (Irfan) and his friends had more screen time than Shahrukh.

Bridges of Madison County

Excellent movie, especially for married people :-)

Soft, slow, mind expanding...

The 51st State

If you have seen and liked "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch", you will surely like "The 51st State". I just can't get enough of the "English accent" in these movies.

Of course, there is _lots_ of bad language and violence in the movie - what more can a guy ask for?
